Privacy policy
Plain-English summary of what RentEasy Guide collects, what we never collect, and what third-party services may collect when you use the site.
The short version
RentEasy Guide is a static, content-driven directory. We don't ask you to create an account, fill in a form, or submit personal information of any kind. We don't run a newsletter, we don't have a contact database of renters, and we don't sell or share information about visitors with housing authorities, landlords, or marketers.
Server logs
Like virtually all websites, our hosting environment maintains short-term access logs that include the IP address making each request, the requested URL, the HTTP user-agent string, and the timestamp. These logs are used solely to diagnose technical issues, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate traffic counts. They are not associated with any account or personal identifier and are rotated on a short schedule.
Third-party advertising
We may display ads served by Google AdSense or comparable third-party ad networks. Those networks may set cookies and use device identifiers to personalize the ads they show you. If you'd prefer not to receive personalized ads, you can opt out via Google's Ads Settings page or via the Digital Advertising Alliance. We do not control what data these networks collect; their privacy policies govern that activity.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to count page views and understand which content is most useful. Where possible, we choose analytics tools that do not set persistent cookies and do not collect identifying information about individual visitors.
Children
RentEasy Guide is a general-audience reference site. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13.
Your choices
You can use RentEasy Guide without enabling cookies or JavaScript. Disabling cookies will not prevent any core functionality of the site, since there is no login or personalization. You can clear advertising cookies at any time through your browser's settings or the opt-out links above.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date below and post a brief note on the homepage for at least one week. The current version takes effect on the date shown.
